A routine service and sanitisation programme is undertaken by Chilburne Spring Ltd service engineers quarterly (approximately every 13 weeks) either on site or in our specialised sanitisation room at the bottling plant.
The method of sanitisation varies with the type of cooler you have, but we always comply with the procedures laid down in the Bottled Water Cooler Association (BWCA) Technical Manual.
The internal water reservoir is sanitised using ozone treatment or replaced
The bayonet and valve reservoir is sanitised using ozone treatment or replaced
The taps are sanitised using ozone treatment or replaced
And the external surfaces and drip tray are cleaned
Alternatively, the cooler is replaced with a sanitised one.
Deliveries
Our general delivery area lies between Newcastle, Peterborough and Birmingham.
Within this area, our delivery drivers will call in on all of our customers every seven days to check on water stocks, whilst removing empty bottles and cups for recycling. If this is inconvenient, we are happy to make alternative arrangements direct with the customer.
However, in areas where customers are more sparsely spread, we may negotiate with the customer to reduce the number of calls to once a fortnight wherever possible.
